PT Banyan Koalindo Lestari was established in 2006 as a company with a focus on coal mining based on the Decree of the Regent of Musi Rawas Number 31/KPTS/DISTAMBEN/2010 concerning the granting of Production Operation Mining Business License (IUP OP) to PT Banyan Koalindo Lestari with an area of 10,980 Hectares, and has a code KW.10 APP 002, located in the Beringin Makmur II Village area, Rawas Ilir District, Musi Rawas Regency, South Sumatra Province.
In 2019 PT Banyan Koalindo Lestari was acquired by a subsidiary of PT PLN (Persero), PT PLN Coal Investment from PT Atlas Resources.
